I recently purchased a Colt SP-1, serial #127***, and would like a little history lesson.  I would like to know why it is called SP-1 and the approximate date it was made. Also, any other info you may deem relevant would be greatly appreciated.  thanks, jp

BTW, I posted this same Q on the GFD board but recieved few looks thats why I decided to come to this forum, thanks.
