Had to handle the issue and flush the session data to ensure that we could track any remaining IPs which were flooding the site. I'll be keeping an eye on things for a while to ensure things are running "normal".

Oh, well, here was my post that NorCal promptly locked. Dupe I guess.
Load up GD, shows over 21,000 people online! Click a few topics to open in new tabs, none load and got some weird message. After several minutes (seemed like forever!) my GD loads again. I had to log in though for some reason. Never have to do that....Now it shows only 570 people online! SHTF? OMGWTFBBQ?!!!1!!1one I almost threw my gear in the car and bugged out! Thought it was FO TIME!© Luckily, it appears that tragedy has been averted. It was surely worse than Y2k, but is this just the start? Or the end? Oh well...and so it begins. |
