My nephew caught a couple with cheetos and doritos. Buried two in the last week. Peanut butter they just licked it off and didn't trip the trap.

Seriously, we've had a LOT of success with the glue traps and some dog food (or WTF you wanna put on 'em) placed in the center. EDIT: Missed it by that much!
