I posted this pic in Sharky's thread about security cameras, I picked it up on a whim today.

The thing I like about it is you can use it hand held too, there is a shutter button on it, no viewfinder or LCD screen though.

I think I will set it up down by the lake and see if I can get some cool gator pics at night.

Is this a decent one?  It is infra red, so no visible light flash, and can record video or still pics.

Came with a 1 gig SD card too, already installed.

Moultrie I40.

Put a couple of layers of electrical tape on the inside of the cover over the LCD screen.

Really, it is not backlit.

It has a USB port and comes with the cable to download to a PC.  It just looks like another drive on my Mac when I plug it in, and I uploaded the pics to photobucket from it.

It also comes with a cable to plug into a TV to view the pics too.

Not a problem with a backlight, the screen randomly dies and the tape seems to help prevent it.

$169 at Dick's sporting goods, it included the 1 gig SD card.

Walmart has it for $148 with no SD card.

It just came with one nylon strap, you would probably have to rig your own if that doesn't work for you.

ETA: It does have a standard camera tripod mount if that works for you.

The pictures on manufacture websites are always the best ones that you would be lucky to get every 10th picture

Chasing Game does good write ups and the pictures are more truthful.

The I40 is a good camera. I only posted chasingame.com so someone else on here doesn't buy a camera just based on the pictures from a manufacture's website.

Thanks for the input, I am glad I bought a good one, it was a spur-of-the-moment purchase.

I will post some good gator pics someday, I believe.
