During the 10AM ET hour of America’s Newsroom on Fox News Channel, fill-in co-host Martha Maccallum told viewers what President Obama watched on election night while Democrats suffered big losses in New Jersey and Virginia: “Robert Gibbs said, well, he was actually watching, you know, the HBO special about his year-long campaign and how it all went.”



On Tuesday night the White House had worked to downplay the Democratic gubernatorial defeats by claiming the President did not watch the election returns. Apparently Gibbs thought it would look better if the commander in chief was watching a self-indulgent fawning documentary about himself. Interestingly, Obama apparently previewed the HBO special a few days earlier, as Gibbs himself explained to the blog Talking Points Memo: “White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says Obama has already seen ‘By the People’...Gibbs told TPMDC Obama’s review: ‘Thumbs up!’”





National political elections going on...and he watches a documentary about him.



The dude is jacked up on himself.

Not just watches, it but watches it for a second time.

Obama was MOST DEFINITELY NOT watching some self-indulgent bullshit on HBO.



He wants YOU to think he was, because he wants to send the message that "he doesn't care, this doesn't bother me, it's all irrelevant.", but he does care, and it does bother him, more than just a little.



He personally campaigned for both Deeds and Corzine, and they both LOST.  Obama tried to apply his "brand" to these two shitheels, and he FAILED to convince enough people to vote for either to win.



This amounts to two losses for Obama.



Don't be fooled by the term "narcissism", because he is most definitely a narcissist, and narcissists care only about themselves, and believe tehy are pure gold.  When things don't go their way, it eats them alive, and Obama, right now, is pissed off and bothered to no end about it.



He campaigned on behalf of these two assholes, and because they lost, he lost.

The fucking commercials for that... jesus. Little kid talking all indignantly on the phone to some random person. Makes me so mad...what the fuck kind of parent sticks their little kid on the phone with random people to pander a politician?

Could be narcissism, could also be that after his inside sources told him how things were going to go he curled up with a pint of Eddy's and watched some of his glory days.  

At least they could have made up some b.s. that he was:

Studying some proposal

Reading  profound literature

Meeting with some charitable group, etc et.

But no.  We are supposed to think he is so godlike that it is perfectly reasonable for him to ignore a key election and watch a video about himself again.

Obummer fiddles while America and Afghanistan burns.

Once he's out of office, I wonder how much the media's going to let him jump in front of a camera to "give his distinguished-experienced" opinion on whatever they're trying to trash for the next administration...

IMHO, saying, "No, the President was holding another late meeting with advisers about Afghanistan and the Economy."  <–– would have at least been a better LIE.

They are not even able to get good spin now, just making up excuses with one hand to draw attention away from the other.
