1000 bags makes it rare

Baggage claims used to be secure areas.  I remember having to show my claim checks to leave the area with my luggage.  It seems now anyone can walk in and walk out with anything.

my father had $3,000 in items stolen when someone swiped his luggage.

These people deserve to be lynched in public as a warning to others.

This is across the street from my house.
We call them Jed and Ellie Mae.
The house was foreclosed and they refused to leave.
The water was shut off over a year ago.
The place is a total pigsty, Jed and Ellie stink to high heaven.
The cops going into the house have to wear masks.
There are at least 40 investigators going through all the stuff and We can't get down the street without a bunch of hassle.

This does explain the yard/luggage sales they have a couple times a year.

There are a lot of hot female cops here though.

So, how big is their house? (I'm still stuck on the whole "1000 suitcases" thing)

House is about 2000 sq.
You can't walk around in the house.
It's completely covered in clothing. Some rooms it's piled to the ceiling.
There are 2 bedrooms that are stacked floor to ceiling with bags.
They also have a barn out back that is full.
We noticed an odd smell day before yesterday that smelled kind of like a cedar fire in someones fireplace...Ellie Mae was burning purses in the fireplace before they raided the place.

Yeah, but of all the airports Ive been through in the past 12 years , the only one I ever saw that had a 'check-point' was Midway in Chicago............and it wasnt going on two weeks ago when I flew there.

I agree............the death penalty for luggage thieves .

I have a feeling that might be the one that really nails them.

This...I am always there before my luggage, tapping my toe, waiting for that slow assed conveyor belt to start moving. Then watching everyone else's bag get there before mine...I know they know I am waiting and put mine on last...every damn time.

Well, I just stopped by to get some pics for you guys.
The hot cops were in a van pulling out in front of me as I pulled in. (i guess all the pictures had been taken that needed to be taken or they were headed out to lunch)
Things seem to have quieted down quite a bit since yesterday.
I knew I should have taken pics!
This is at least the 3rd full load to be hauled off in that Penske truck.
I'll get more this afternoon after I get back , maybe there will be some more activity.
I can't count the amount of pizzas, sandwiches and doughnuts that have been delivered to this ordeal.

I thought you guys would get a kick out of this one.  I did.

No water in the house.
That would also explain why they have been seen in the irrigation ditch behind the house when we water.
