I think some of her designs are too busy, but Im not knocking her work what so ever.

The more simple work looks really really good tho.

Like the skull graphic and Y&M Pool service, very nice

This... Not bashing her work at all, just a little busy for these old eyes.... She is very creative and talented....

She is way too reliant on filters and effects. She needs to pay more attention to the basic principles of design and composition.

+1. The first one looks like a mediocre photoshop. The BBQ one looks, well....disgusting. However, it's kind of tricky to photograph food and make it look good. The last two look like the average T-shirt design I see kids wearing around here (PG MD)

The simple vector graphic designs are really nice. But the Photoshopped designs do not have the correct color contrasts. The wording is hard to read and they are too busy

Not trying to bash here - but she could really benefit from a typography class and a fundamentals of design and layout class.

Only the "PROBULLS" is any good. And something is not right with the text between the horns as it is. And I have to question if she made the "bull" or lifted it from somewhere else and just pasted the text in there.

The rest of them are a busy mishmash of amateurism that looks designed to appeal to a ghetto mindset.

Well, the last one, the skull/mowhawk/splattered paint thing might be okay as a rock concert poster, but it's still too busy.

I don't want to flame, just being honest here.

mmm...skillz? I dunno - id digest some of the above comments - cause their on the money. Way to reliant on filters and as far as layout and design - not working.

And I work outside a graphics dept. ( but I am a videographer)

I am not a graphic designer, but sometime simple is better, also symmetry is important.

A+ for effort, tell her to keep it up.

Well that's good news. I replied to that thread and when I tried to check on it a couple minutes later, it was gone. Search wouldn't find it either by topic or reply author. I thought I had either been hallucinating or REALLY pissed off the staff.
