Saudi court upholds child rapist crucifixion ruling

RIYADH (Reuters) - A Saudi court of cassation upheld a ruling to behead and crucify a 22-year-old man convicted of raping five children and leaving one of them to die in the desert, newspapers reported on Tuesday.

The convict was arrested earlier this year after a seven-year old boy helped police in their investigation. The child left in the desert after the rape was three years old, Okaz newspaper said.

International rights groups have accused the kingdom, the birthplace of Islam, of applying draconian justice, beheading murderers, rapists and drug traffickers in public. So far this year about 40 people have been executed in Saudi Arabia.

In Saudi Arabia, crucifixion means tying the body of the convict to wooden beams to be displayed to the public after beheading.

Crucify alive, followed by disembowelment. That is true punishment!

They should reverse that process.

Wouldn't it make more sense to crucify FIRST then behead?

yeah, its not really a classification as much as it is a public display.

That's the one part of their justice system I have no problem with.

I bet the ACLU would go absolutely batshit crazy in that country. (Right up until the Saudi's "politely" asked them to STFU)

I'm sure the Saudi Arabian system is just as imperfect and infallible as the US system is.  Hopefully this guy's real crime wasn't disrespecting the Saudi crown or not being a devout Muslim.

As long as they have the right guy, then no problem. However you know how that goes.
How if only the Saudis would apply some of that justice to anyone supporting terrorism either direclty or indirectly like a charity.

we need to be more like those countries –– YOU RAPE YOU DIE, YOU MURDER YOU DIE

just got back from Singapore, there is NO GRAFFITI ANYWHERE !!!  they will CANE YOUR ASS if caught
there is actually very few cops seen too

went to Jakarta and Bali, inside the airport as you arrive there are large signs that say..... WELCOME TO INDONESIA .....DEATH PENALTY FOR DRUG TRAFFICKERS

our country really needs to clean house and get rid of the murders, rapists, molesters, gangsters
and start whipping asses for low level repeat offenders, cause its clear that there momma aint doing it.

You have THAT much faith in our criminal justice system?  Everyone from witnesses, cops, judges, over-zealous prosecutors, are trust worthy enough?

They'd probably have to kill half of their population and a good portion of the House of Saud if that were a crime.

Yeah - the problem is their laws seem cool, until you start getting shit lopped off, beaten, or killed for much much lighter offenses.

I say just apply the $0.05 $0.20 $0.35 solution and bury him.
