The F5s are getting a little friggin' annoying tonight.

Seems like the site is choking on every other page.  All other sites coming up fine for me...

Am I the only one?

You might not have to disable Web Shield. I'm going to turn it back on and see if it makes ARFCOM run slow again.

ETA: Just turned it back on... Its running a little slower, but that is probably because I clear my history and cache everytime I close firefox. I'll run with it on for a day or so and update my post in the Tech Support section if it works fine with Web Shield on.

I uninstalled it altogether.  Anyone have a better recommendation?

Reinstall and do the stuff I mention in my thread in the Tech Support section (link is above)

Doh!  Looks like my membership expired...

I first disabled the Firefox extension.  Didn't help.
Couldn't find any way to shut down the entire suite in the AVG interface.  Dumb.  Didn't want to shut down all the services manually, so I shut down the 'resident shield'.  Didn't help.
So finally just uninstalled it altogether.

Seriously?  No easy way to shut it down.  That kinda sucks, not sure I want to reinstall it if there's no 'shut down rtf now' button.

Yep...no Web Shield on three different PCs with the free version.   It jumps from PUP Exceptions to Link Scanner with no options to expand or hide anything.  Thanks for pointing out where is should be.
