sweet gun.  I think most people nowadays are just too into the modular nature of the AR platform to spend a lot of time on other types...

Really? Holy crap...that would be nice. I know the mags are the reason these babies don't sell well, but gosh, they shoot great with iron sites. Very smooth weapon.

I think I know what he means... I think he means the mags are not interchangeable with regular AR mags, so a lot of people will avoid the rifle.

I think 90% or more of the shooters on here only use their rifles for target shooting or hunting so I doubt that is a major factor.  I think it's just that they are unusual and not that sexy compared to a pimped up AR...

Never personally owned one, but a buddy had one, and I'll attest to them shooting smooth! Nice pickup, just out curiousity, did you get a good deal??

I thought you could modify AR-15 mags to fit by cutting a notch somewhere...

Other than that, awesome score!  I'd love to have one, but I'm not interested in paying $900 for the one I saw at the gun show a few back.

Yes..I got a great deal, $450 with 2 mags, it may have had 100 rounds through it, bolt face looks untouched. I like the gas piston system...they shoulda put it on the AR15. Just a nice sweet shooter..great balance, it's got a FNC "feel" to it.

Is that thing set up for a lefty?

Looks like the mag catch is on the right, is the button on the left?

Does it accept AR-15 mags?

No, righty.

Mag catch has to catch a cut-out in the mag so AR mags are a problem unless they are modified to fit.

excellent weapon. the only real downside to them is the flimsy stock attachment that finds itself broken sometimes.

i really like them though, and have thought that a transferable 180 with a 10"barrel would be what's up.

Gotcha.

So does it have a long-stroke piston or a shorty?

I literally know nothing about these.

Sort of like an AK..sort of. Easy to clean so far, comes apart in seconds...pretty good over-all design. Flimsy pieces that have been mentioned, but it feels great..very nice balance. It was worth the money over getting another AK variant. Shoots straight and very little recoil...just a fun gun that you could go plink all day..if the ammo were cheap.
