INDIANA BOROUGH (KDKA) ―
An Indiana County man was arrested Saturday night following a series of events while intoxicated.
According to police, Meade Sarver 31, of Ernest, called police to the 100-block of Gompers Avenue around 5:30 p.m.
When police arrived, they witnessed Sarver harassing trick-or-treaters and their parents while drinking a beer.
Officers approached Sarver and deemed him to be drunk and placed him under arrest for public drunkenness and was taken to the Indiana Regional Medical Center for an examination.
While he was being transported, he became irate and started verbally abusing police officers by threatening to kill them and their families.
Upon arrival at the medical facility, Sarver became physically violent. While waiting to be examined, he spit at officers and kicked and struck officers and hospital security.
Sarver also knocked over hospital equipment while officers tried to restrain him.
During his time at the hospital, he threatened to kill staff and disrupted patients in the emergency room.
Sarver was transported to the Indiana County Jail where he is being held on $25,000 bond.
He is facing several charges including: assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and resisting arrest.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 5. at 9:30 a.m
