I was talking to GB and he figures the bad router is being worked on. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Since this hosting company seems to be a bit on the clueless side and has been problematic for the past mmmmmm 6-7 years, we're already going through the paperwork to move hosting here locally. We'll have more access to the servers, more space for the equipment, and more BW for you!!!
I can't say how long it will take because the phone company is known to be slow installing fibre to new locations. All I can say is the router should hopefully be fixed at our current ISP and that we'll be out of there in as soon as possible!!! I apologize for this mess, I really do. Just remember, I am about 2 hours away and it's horrible for me too, disgustingly so!!! There's just not much I can do apart from leaving them for another company... |

I think the connection rate is about 4800 baud. Cobwebs grow faster than these screens refresh. |

It's still timing out, having packed loss problems, and spikes (although not as bad as before).
We're still going to try to ditch them and move our hosting to something more stable and under our control. I'll post more solid info when we get it. A DOS attack is easy to track since they're basically flooding your connection with traffic, this is nasty because it's the hosting company who seems to be the problem. I can understand issues for a few days after the major storm that hit, but this is rediculous. As for WHO the host is... it's pcom.net... thats a horrible trace badseed, looks like your connection goes to hell at alternet which looks like your ISP! [=(] |

Although, It's not as bad as I would have thought... for being halfway 'round the world, that is. Good luck with wrapping things up with the current characters. You running your own DNS there, or do you have to rely on those yokels for the changes when they come? |
