Just about every day except Saturday!

(Wow, that should stop speculation about my being Jewish, eh?)

Had a job in a previous life where I wore a tie every day for 8 years.

Now only for weddings and funerals. And not weddings if I can help it. [:D]

Federal Govt Job here.  Years ago, we wore them every day.  Then we had casual Fridays, about 3-4 years ago we went casual every day.

0 times a year now for work.

0 times a year for normal daily wear.

It just occurred to me that the three least trusted occupations in America -- politician, lawyer, and car salesman -- all have a necktie as part of their usual apparel.  Coincidence?

I used to wear a tie everyday, but this school year I decided to stop wearing them.

So far, nobody has complained, and now even the techs are "tieless".

Weddings, funerals, "board meeting" days at work (even though I don't sit in the meetings) and the occasional Sunday when I lead music at church.  Probably less than 20 times a year.

Sometimes I wear one when the Mrs. & I get rid of the kids for a night & go out to dinner....
('cause that's special too!)

I had to vote NEVER, though I do wear one every 5-10 years for JOB INTERVIEWS.

Once I'm in, the tie is HISTORY. [:D]

I wear one and keep it under my bibs, I found the big wide ones make the best napkins. When I sit down to eat at the local choke and puke, I pull it out and place it in front of my bibs,(hate to get food on my bibs) after lunch I do a quick wipe and stick it back in my bibs and I'm on my way. Saves on trees too don't you know. I like my naked woman one holding a can of PBR the best. He Haw

I used to wear one at work, until a memo came down that all techs are to either wear clip-on ties or no ties. Apparently we almost lost a tech when his tie got caught in a huge line printer (the thing was the size of half a VW bug) and had to cut the tie to get out of the printer.

Of course I choose no tie. Since then I only wear them for the funeral, wedding, and interview. Maybe for the occasional (VERY occasional) date.

Since I'm one of the un-educated, low-life, blue-collar scum construction-worker types [:D]-I only wear a suit and tie to funerals and weddings. Unfortunately, funerals see the most use.

Hah.  Not with BDU's.  I do have to wear class A's every now and then.  Does a clip on count?

The only time I've ever worn a tie was at my aunts funeral when I was 15. I haven't worn one since. Not at my wedding, and not at any other funerals either.

As a matter of fact I've never actually worn a suit either. NEVER.

Am I the only one?

Of course clip-ons count!  But I do advise you adhere to a "don't ask, don't tell" policy while wearing one. [:D]

I don't even wear one for funerals & weddings.

I don'teven know how to tie one. The only time I have had any trouble with this was during formal nights on the cruise ship.
