I sold my friend a lower I didn't need at the height of the craziness, that at the time he wanted. I didn't gouge him, actually it was a bit below market at $140.
Anyway, he has now decided to go handgun only for whatever reason  and now doesn't want it.
He is offering it to me at $85 which is a great deal but I don't know that I can buy it back like that. Sure it is a great deal but I can't help feeling like it would be screwing him over. What say you? Thanks |

1) He knows what he payed for it
2 he OFFERED to sell it to you 3) I'm sure he could research to find the market price I'd say it's fair. |

You sold him the lower at a price that you thought was fair and now he is trying to sell you the lower at a price that he thinks if fair. I see no wrong in buying the lower from him for the price that he thinks is fair.

it wouldn't be so bad but I keep ragging him for letting a mutual friend and gun shops screw him over, I can't help but feeling like a hypocrite for doing the same.
For instance he just traded a Bushy AR for a HK USP .45 straight up....both brand new.

Buy it back at what he want for it. If he made the offer, nothing wrong with taking it.
That's the tough thing about making deals with friends... If you ever deviate from operating at arms length, that starts to become the expectation for every transaction thereafter. But it sounds like you did him a favor on the initial price, so I don't blame you from getting some back on this end. |

Give him a 100 for it.
Makes you look like the good guy since you are paying more than it is offered to you for and erases any possibility of bad feelings from him in the future. Also buys peace of mind for $15. |
