$25,000....easy. Maybe more.
Before I found this place in 2001 - I was perfectly content to meet SHTF with a Remington 7400 carbine in 30-06, a Desert Eagle in 44 magnum, a Glock 26, and a post-ban Colt Match Target H-Bar. Now?!?! Good grief.... I should be taken out back and beaten. I could have finsihed my house by now, owned several other major SHTF implements, etc. Instead, I had to drop thousands to personally try out almost every f'in AR component out there chambered in 223 and 308. Now, I have a modest but respectable collection. If only some sage dropped me a magic list back then...I could have built into my current spread instead of doing it the hard way. <sigh> |

Nothing, I already had all the stuff I have now. Actualy I had more stuff than I do now, I sold off some of the shit I did not use so I am at a net gain.

I've purchased one shoulder thingy that goes up. lol.... Oh yeah? Well I own two identical high cap 9mm handguns so I can backflip over incoming fire in slow motion while shooting multiple badguys with 98% hit potential. |

More than when I picked up a copy of Sail magazine in the orderly room at Ft. Gordon and bought a sailboat.

Wait, you sold guns I am not sure I understand exactly what it is you are trying to say here. I .. you........how can .......sell a gun..........but......unpossible......did you choose to just stop breathing too? I need a couple of aspirin, my head hurts ETA: Really, you can reduce you inventory without the same effect as dividing by zero how bout that, I did not know ETA2: Sell guns?????????? |

I bought some used KNS anti-rotational pins from M4ark,so about $30.00
|

Apparently not enough. I just got in on the DSG uppers deal x2
|

Well, I cant call my 20 grand or so accurate as I have a few high dollar items I had wanted before I found Arfcom. Arfcom simply proved a valuable resource in researching the items I wanted.

Shit, if you think this place is bad you better never go over to any of the Sniper websites, those will have you selling Kidneys and shit to foot the bill.
|
|
Lord only knows.
What I do know is that I'da spent that money on toys one way or the other, and if I'da paid common prices on it all, the total would be WAY higher. Not just guns either, you guys have saved me money on yard equipment, timepieces, home repairs, car parts.. And that was just in the last three months Thank you Arfcom! |

Only been a member a little over a year, so not that much. Maybe 2k. But I attribute most of that to our gun salesman in chief.
|
|
17k last time I counted, bought a few more since then, sold a few as well. probably 3k worth of ammo in the last 3 or so years.
|
|
I KNOW some of our members have shelled out more since some own full auto weapons
|
|
Maybe $10,000, I could double my money right now if I sold most of it also, not that I would

I found this site when I was starting to build my first AR, so I don know how much it contributed to that one other thansome very very helpful info. I have fasclitated the EE for every gun transaction since then, and a few FTF with members. All in all I would say since May 2007 I've spent about $3500 in guns and stuff. I would have spent more, but I was in college and not exactly rolling in the money.

I'm sure I could figure it out, but I don't think I want to know.

Not nearly as much as some. I keep giving perfectly good firearms to my sons which enables me to buy more under the wife radar.
My collection is modest. My safe is mid-sized - but when I open that door the lights kick on, Angels sing, and somewhere a libtard gets heartburn. I will say that the quality of my purchases is better now that I do research here - so while I may spend more, I spend better. |

Bah, call me when you can should two bullets in a circle, hitting everyone in the head!

HK USP 9=$800
HK USPC 40(used)=$500 870=$325 Marlin 336=$450 I've spent $2075 on 4 firearms. I don't keep track of what I have spent on ammo since I'm pretty sure I've spent more on ammo than I have on firearms. |
|
I don't spend what I don't have (or try not to). I budget myself and get what I really want. I don't get into the frenzy buying that happens around here.
I value my gun collection at around $6k, so that is about what I spend on guns. Ammo, well that is another story and since the retarded price increases I have not spent much at all. |
|
I had pretty healthy savings account. Then I joined ARFCOM.
It was totally worth it. |

I haven't spent much, I only work part time due to going to school. I did build/finish my AR since I joined, so that's about $800, ammo and mags is probably another $400ish, maybe more... Traded my XD for a 1911, then traded that for a Glock 19, bought two TLR-1 lights (one before the C4 LED, and the one I've got now has it), couple holsters, etc.
I'd say $1500? Hoping to get an Aimpoint CompM3 with a LaRue QD mount, more AR and G19 mags, at least a case of 5.56 and another case of 9mm, sling, maybe a DD Omega rail, etc. this fall once I start working again. That will require selective budgeting though... like "how many cases of ramen noodles can I eat without killing myself" If I get most of the above bought and paid for this fall/spring, along with some more money saved up, I'll probably try to start an SBR project (LMT, Aimpoint, Magpul, Daniel Defense, that one banned silencer company... mmm ) which will take me longer than my first AR build to finish. I'd also like to start an SPR after that, and then just start building stuff I have no real need for (another 14.5/16" carbine, retro build, etc). |

Well, I sold a Red dot scope, 2 free float tubes a set of hand guards, an old sngle shot .22 and a 12ga fully rifled shotgun (my county did not allow rilfles so we had to use shotgus, now we can use rifles so that shotgun was redundant and did not serve a purpose), they were all simple transactions and all actualy turned a profit for me. |

Probably 5k or so. I would've spent much of that anyway, but my mag collection is a direct result of time spent here.
