Skunk out, most pet stores have it. The smell returns a little when Fido gets wet, though.

lol. It reeks bad. Used tomato juice last time, but im going to try this mix to see if it works any better than that.

Once you get the stink taken care of... There is a great preventative product to keep it from happening again.

Peroxide will oxidize the thiols (stinky chemicals in the skunk spray).

Take the dog out in the woods and tie him to a tree for a week or so. Feed and water him of course. |

My dog has been sprayed twice....
The last time, she stayed outside the rest of the night & I febreezed her the next day... It actually worked pretty well !! |

Try this
Gallon of vinegar Box of baking soda Quality Dog Shampoo Cloths pin Apply cloths pin to your nose 
Apply vinegar and rub baking soda in. Rinse Shampoo the dog This works well. My wife and daughter have both used it |

My wife and daughter have both used it That was what good old George got when she got nailed, which was at least twice per summer. It works awesome and the smell will be gone. In hindsight though, the vinegar is not particularly good for the dogs skin, which can be fairly sensitive, and may cause some burning / irritation if left on too long, though George never complained about it. Tomato juice works not as well and costs $$$. The peroxide method is what I would try next as that is less likely to cause irritation. Needless to say, keep that stuff away from eyes, nose, etc. |

I get in the shower with the dog, lots of soap several times. When you're done, you smell like skunk too, so the dog doesn't bother you. Why dogs can't learn to leave them alone is beyond me! I've never smelled a cat that has been skunked, just dogs. |

I tried tomatoes from the garden once, the only thing that did was teach the dog to eat tomatoes!
