Doesn't anyone make a nice wood stock 30-06 iron sight bolt gun anymore  I understand it may be Fud gun but there are certain things that don't go out of style and a quality iron sight 30-06 is one of them...Before the Garand & 1903 statements, I already own one.

Might try the CZ line.  One of hose is on my list of things to get.

Mauser action and the set trigger are phenomenal.

CZ makes one. The CZ550 is a nice gun for the money, may need a trigger job, but the actions are tough as shit. I'm taking one to Africa if I can ever get up the nerve to go. Shit, I just checked, CZ doesn't make the 550 with iron sights anymore (not the standard one).

I picked up a Weatherby Mk 5, used, for less than a grand a while back in Athens, Ga.
Even has a left-hand bolt, just for me. Tack driver.
I have now put glass on it, but it came with irons.

(They are all mine!)

I just got my first one, next up 30-40 Krag. Then Trapdoor. Then 1861.

My FIL gave me a Remington 700BDL in .30-06 w/ a Lyman receiver sight. Pretty cool, but not what I want in the long run, so I put a scope on it.

Bought a Ruger and had a local smith put irons on it. Can't stand rifles without iron sights.
