Just got done putting a new airbag in my bike, I cut pockets out of the frame so the swingarm could drop even lower than it's supposed to.
Pack of smokes won't even fit under it: 
I'm ready for a beer. |

Non bike owner here.....can you corner with it that low without catching the frame on the road? (and the subsequent roadrash)

Thanks, I'm happy with how the bike came out.
I own a rigid already, and to be honest I hate riding it. Every little bump throws you off the seat, and I actually ride my bikes long distances. Rigid frame + bad back = not fun. |

Engine is a H-D crate motor with a mild cam, Mikuni carb and Bassani pipes. I wanted a reliable engine, and I got one. It runs strong, I don't have any problem keeping up with my buddies on their Twin Cam bikes. It's a work in progress, I actually started building it two years ago and it's evolved into what you see. |

It amazes how folks can not read.
THE BIKE DOESN'T RIDE THAT LOW, THE OP JUST LET THE AIR OUT OF THE "AIR BAG" SUSPENSION SYSTEM. Whe he rides it he WILL but air in the system. Oh, rigids suck for folks who ride a lot. Nice bike OP, I like the minimalist look as well as the flat black paint. |

I'm not very familiar with the Gold Wing, but if it's anything like the air-suspension on some of Harley's Touring bikes, it's got conventional forks and shocks that you can add air to. That's not really the same as an airbag, I bet you would notice a difference if you rode with a passenger and loaded your bike down with gear. |

First of all, i like the bike a lot....that is my kind of look.....subtle, yet style.
Second.....what is the purpose of the air bag suspension? Is it entirely cosmetic or is there some kind of mechnical advantage to parking it lowered to the ground? I have only ever seen air bags / hydraulics on cars and those installs were clearly about looks. Never heard of it on a bike until I clicked this thread. Its a cool look but does it do anything? Get that ignition finished up and hit the road

Nice work It's mechanical, and cosmetic. The adjustable airbag is great for riding, I can make it soft for the streets or I can make it stiffer for the highway. The ability to slam it when it is parked is an added bonus. |
