The GF bought me a Glock 19 yesterday so I picked up a 33 round mag for shits and giggles. It's awesome. I'll have to get a bunch of these things for my truck and bug out bag.

Anybody else use the 33 round Glock mags?

How many do you have?

Who has a good price? I paid $39.99 + tax at my local shop.

Are the Korean ones any good?

i have 6 of them, picked them up a year or so ago before the rush, for 24$

3 of them for my G19.  Because having to reload while at the range sucks.

I got factory 33 rounders for like $20 (I think)

they seem to have quite a bit of play in my 34 though

I have 3 Glock ones and 5 of the Korean ones. The Korean ones are usually $20 and have worked just as well for me so far.

Another question. Why do they only count up to 31 but hold 33 rounds?

I see a sub2000 in your future...

but then you will want a glock 17 too

Meh I'd buy a 26 before a 17.

I've never seen a sub 2000 in CT. Anybody have them around here?

All the ones I've seen for sale locally go for around $55.

I don't own a Glock - I have no experience with the 33 round mags.  I did buy four 26 round mags for the CZ, and I like having them.  Before I got the shotgun, my CZ was my primary home defense weapon (apartments, so the AR might have been a tad much for my uses).  I liked having the extra 12 rounds or so in the pistol at all times, so there is DEFINITELY a great reason (at least to me) for them.

I don't like the Oly receiver that takes the 9mm Glock magazines, and if I could find one that took them I would have a 9mm AR and a Glock.

I have 2, I never use them though.

my guns are for serious work, the 33 round mags are (to me) novelty toys.

now if I had a G18, then maybe they would hold some use.

I agree they are kind of a novelty.

However, for the folks that don't want to keep a rifle in their vehicle I feel that a few 33 rounders in the truck would be a nice thing to have.

Ah so with a regular baseplate they would only be 31 rounds. Thanks.

I'll have to look for one. I've been looking for a "backpack rifle". I've been looking for a pre-ban 10/22 so I can put on a folding stock but this may be a better option.

I bought three a few years ago when I had a Sub2000.  I've since sold that.  I don't really use the 33 rders.  They're fun and I suppose they have some place in a "tactical" sense.  I have a 29 round .40 cal made by Scherer when I was into 40s; I haven't used it in a few years, but I don't remember ever having a problem with it; I would probably trade it for a 9mm mag if I had the opportunity.

I bought 2.

Then 4 more.

Then 4 more......

Now I buy a couple every time I order a case or two of ammo from PSA (when they have a sale on mags).
I'm not sure if I got the best prices but I got the best mags (GLOCK FACTORY ONLY). These are not novelties...they give you an SBR-like back up
mag(s) for the console. Turn you Glock 9mm into a semi SBR that'll have you winning the arms race.

Okay, in reality you can have your entire range day preloaded with a couple dozen of these beauties.

Single stacker 1911 crowd...I understand, it ain't your thing.

But this is arfcom...BUY THEM AND ENJOY THE 33 ROUNDS OF GLOCK ROCKIN FUN

shortest non nfa rifle i know of, when broken down the barrel, is the longest part. 16.1" they say

since any folding stock rifle is gonna still have an action attached behind the barrel, the s2k will be smaller

very light too

The cheapest I got them for was $22.50 on sale at Wideners.  I stocked up.

Ever notice that a 100 rounds of WWB 9mm fit exactly in to 3 mags (3X33=99) +1 in the pipe?

They're great mags.

I bought a few of the Kahn (ETA: Korean) mags.  A little harder to load but they've worked well for me so far.

I have 5 Kahn mags. I have run them all once through my sub 2k without issue. They are not as slick as factory but worth the price.

Get a upLuLa. It is a godsend.

Get a sub2k too.

If that is for HD do yourself a favor and ditch the FMJ's.  Go with winchester Ranger T series or Speer gold dot.

What's a good price for a NIB Sub2000?

I am not sure. They went from a ~$300 gun to almost a ~$500 gun around here. I got my nearly new one 6 months ago for $275 and I snapped it up when I saw it for that price.

I am not sure I could get myself to pay more than $400 for a new one unless it wan an original sub9.

I have six.
When Obama got elected I felt obligated to do some kind of panic buying. I have so many freaking magazines for everything I own that I had to think of something to buy. So, I got the 33 round Glock mags.
I tried them, they worked OK.
I have never used them again. I do have one loaded in my nightstand. I really don't know why other than that's where it ended up.

I never use mine either.

Though having a couple in your glove compartment to compliment your daily CCW g19 is a great way to have SHTF fire power if you don't feel comfortable having a dedicated truck carbine.

This is exactly what I use mine for; one 33rd mag in each vehicle.

Especially reassuring for travel out of state when bringing a long gun isn't practical.
