This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock powered by socialist electricity
generated by the public power monopoly regulated by the US Department of
Energy. I then took a shower in the socialist clean water provided by the
municipal water utility. After that, I turned on the socialist radio to one
of the FCC regulated channels to hear what the socialist National Weather
Service of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration
determined the weather was going to be like using socialist satellites
designed, built, and launched by the National Aeronautics and Space
Administration. I watched this while eating my breakfast of socialist US
Department of Agriculture inspected food and taking the socialist drugs
which have been determined as safe by the Food and Drug Administration.
At the appropriate time, as kept accurate by the socialist National
Institute of Standards and Technology and the US Naval Observatory, I get
into my socialist National Highway Traffic Safety Administration approved
automobile and set out to work on the socialist roads built by the socialist
local, state, and federal departments of transportation, possibly stopping
to purchase additional fuel of a quality level determined by the socialist
Environmental Protection Agency, using socialist legal tender issued by the
Federal Reserve Bank. On the way out the door, I deposit any mail I have to
be sent out via the socialist US Postal Service and drop the kids off at the
socialist public school.
If I get lost, I can use my socialist GPS navigation technology developed by
the United States Department of Defense and made available to the public in
1996 by President Bill Clinton who issued a policy directive declaring
socialist GPS to be a dual-use military/civilian system to be managed as a
national socialist asset.

After spending another day not being maimed or killed at work thanks to the
socialist workplace regulations imposed by the Department of Labor and the
Occupational Safety and Health Administration, enjoying another two meals
which again do not kill me because of the socialist USDA, I drive my
socialist NHTSA car back home on the socialist DOT roads, to my house which
has not burned down in my absence because of the socialist state and local
building codes and socialist fire marshal's inspection, and which has not
been plundered of all it's valuables thanks to the socialist local police
department.

I then get on my computer and use the socialist Internet which was developed
by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Administration and browse the
socialist World Wide Web using my graphical web browser, both made possible
by Al Gore's socialist High Performance Computing and Communication Act of
1991. I then post on freerepublic.com <http://freerepublic.com/> and fox
news forums about how SOCIALISM in medicine is BAD because the government
can't do anything right.

You know what is hilarious about this?
People still have power outages, overpriced energy, bad health from crappy food, drugs that do damage and have to be recalled (in fact, food sometimes has to be recalled), broken water mains, places that can not get good water pressure or have to use wells, places that ration water, drought, automobile recalls and lawsuits over unsafe vehicles, traffic accidents, unsafe roads, unsafely timed traffic lights, workplace accidents, unfair hiring practices, people who work hard with no recognition, discrimination, murder, theft, rape, buildings out of code, buildings in code failing, fires, explosions, carbon monoxide poisoning....  all under the totally unconcerned eye of the proto-socialist government.

And do you know why the eye is unconcerned?

Because despite government involvement, in not one single case of the above mentioned scenarios is the government held responsible in the slightest.  If it is held responsible, it is in comparatively rare circumstances, and usually a fall guy is located and takes the blame.

For all the socialist control that the letter above credits, it fails to fault it once for the massive amount of failure that the same liberals complain about.

I'm interested in retorts/replys. I've gotten this a couple times lately from the libtards I harrass.

I think the person who wrote that doesn't understand the difference between regulation and control or the difference between local and federal government.  Socialism does not simply mean "government funded or regulated".  US Dept of Energy REGULATES the electricity...it does not CONTROL the means of production.  Cities and states contract with PRIVATE companies to produce electricity.  BIG difference.  Same with the FCC, it regulates.  It does not own the radio stations or choose or create the content that goes out into the air.  You can pretty much chew up most of that little story with that same point or one similar. NASA doesn't design and build all the sattelites, it contracts with other companies.  FDA does not grow the food it just checks it...sometimes.

The part  about not getting maimed or killed, their house not burning down, or their house not getting plundered is just laughable.  These things happen every day IN SPITE of the government regulation.

Some could say tha regulation is a form of control, but it is not complete control.  The goal of Socialism is to "centralise all instruments of production in the hands of the State." (Karl Marx-Communist manifesto)  Government control is spread out in this country on purpose.  Every time the Federal government gets directly involved with what should be a private industry, it takes a step closer to socialism.  The founders added this to the constitution for a reason...

My response would be
