NBC Seeking News Staff Buyouts

NBC Universal executives have approached a large number of employees across its news divisions and bureaus, announcing that the company is looking for unspecified number of staffers to take voluntary buyouts. In a series of meetings with human resource managers, staffers at NBC News and MSNBC were told that if targets weren't met voluntarily, employment challenges lurked ahead.The "Nightly News" staff was told of the development on Friday. In December, TVNewser reported that NBC Universal was cutting 500 jobs starting at its news bureaus. That round of layoffs nbc_news_expected_to_offer_everyonewas preceded by buyout offers to "virtually everyone."

I wish they would do what they are supposed to be doing by reporting on and keeping the government and the politicians in check… not becoming as corrupt and spewing their own liberal biases. It serves them right and I hope this opens the eyes of the other liberal news media that the gig is up! Report the news fair and balanced, investigate and route out the root in Washington or root along with the corrupt politicians and become extent. ABC, CBS and CNN and the liberal news papers are no longer relevant and finally the American citizens are waking up. But, in order for this country to stay free we have to have a news media, but it has to be one that actual reports the news not make it up and push their own agendas. I doubt it will happen, but the liberal media party is over! Money talks!
