Was hoping to find more in MC. CIRAS was my first choice but could not find the right color. Do they even make a CIRAS in MC?

Tactical Tailor Releasable Armor Carrier

Battlelab Advance Warrior

Eagle Plate Carrier w/Cummerbund

Trying to get more ideas.

Where abouts you being deployed?

What are others taking?

Options and money?

Not being deployed anywhere. I was just looking at one to replace the crappy chest rig I have that is falling apart.

just my $0.02.

those are three very good manufacturers.

do you really want a cummerbund?

they do add noticeable weight and bulk.

the cummerbund on the eagle plate carrier is removeable.  i would add that the eagle carriers run a little small.  do check on sizing.

the diamondback tactical advance warrior plate carrier is nice too.  you know, you could save a few bucks by getting the fast attack plate carrier gen 2 without the cummerbund, and then buy a cummerbund separately for another $120 or so.

don't forget all your molle gizmos too (mag pouches), etc.

Yep. Wore mine in a MDFI carbine I class last November... It helped keep me warm. Also, it fit well.

Just a note: Plate Carriers are hot!

I've got the Eagle Plate Carrier with CB and like it, fits me very well.

FWIW I'm 6'0", 200 lbs, 34" waist.

not only are plate carriers hot ... they constrict breathing.

Yeah but you can't breath with a hole in your lung or heart either.

Thanks guys for the info. The last thing I'm wondering about is about the threat levels "ratings" for the Battlelab vest. It says:

(QVA-3A, LTA-3A or EMA-3A)

So all are NIJ 3a compliant but what is the difference? Woven or laminated material?

Diamondback fapc. without cumberbund IMO.

I have one, feels  and fits me way better than the eagle.
