My favorite band and song of all time.  Listen to the lyrics.  It's brilliant.
"An "Intense and oddly uplifting rocker about a relationship torn by the Holocaust", the song is actually semi-biographical in nature telling about songwriter and vocalist Max Bemis's grandparents who were Holocaust survivors."
Say Anything - Alive With the Glory of Love

Pretty good band.. bitchen song.
Dispatch - The General

A little heavier.  Another one of my favorite bands/songs.
He Is Legend - The Seduction

He Is Legend is very underrated. Great choice.

Some other bands that aren't as well known to most are Emery, Between The Buried And Me, Fear Before The March Of Flames, Minus The Bear, Portugal. The Man, and Catherine.

Oh and if you enjoy Say Anything you would probably like the group Two Tongues.

Your musical taste is acceptable.

BTBAM is another of my favorite bands.  Didn't expect to see Portugal. The Man, in here, either.  Good shit man.

San Diego, 1982, Tweed Sneakers! They ruled. They played the 1982 Halloween party at Sea World and dressed up like Hare Krishnas. They called themselves Harry Krishna and his Ramavenger's. Classic.

Masters if Reality kick ass the singer is the producer for Queens of the Stonage and you can hear it come through in some tracks.

Ginger Baker (Cream) still rocks this one for an old guy.

They have some good stuff, but allot of it is not for everyone...hence the reason they're not that mainstream.

Simple Survival is a great tune.....Waylon replacing J Man.

I want to thank whoever it was who hipped me to KYUSS in the similar thread we had a while ago.
Where the fuck was I in the early 90's when they were active?

I'll nominate HUM.
Hum * Stars
hum - the pod
hum - coming home video
HUM-Green To Me
Not obscure but certainly overlooked.

For awesome and obscure, a band you haven't heard of?
That's Lungfish.
Lungfish "Black Helicopters" & "Oppress Yourself" 5-12-98
Lungfish - Pray For The Living/Armageddon

Lungfish - "Child of Chaos"

Lungfish "Signpost"
None of these videos do this band justice.

Run, do not walk and buy all of their albums.
1989: Necklace of Heads
1991: Talking Songs for Walking
1993: Rainbows From Atoms
1994: Pass and Stow
1995: Sound In Time
1996: Indivisible
1997: Artificial Horizon
1999: The Unanimous Hour
2000: Necrophones
2003: Love Is Love
2005: Feral Hymns

Trying to understand the intent of the thread. Is this for us to post new music that is new to us that we like? AS in never heard of before until recently? Or stuff we always liked. It seems folks are posting what they already liked because I find it hard they never heard of the bands they are posting.

Hey OP, whats the intent? The ones I posted were ones I never heard of before until very recently. I was going to post of some ones I liked for a very long time though.

ETA bands that are really good but not well known
