I wonder is any of that is true or if it is Soldier of Fortune doing it's Anti-Liberal, Liberal impersonation.
Any Confirmations? Even with tragedies like these, I'd love for it to be true. |

i thought i heard something about this a few months ago..some MMM woman who's son was murdered went out for revenge with an illegal handgun in D.C. ....wondering if any of this is true or just rumors???

I heard it too - a month or two ago. I think it was in an article but I can't be sure. She was supposedly one of the organizers of the MMM. Don't remember anything about her son being killed though.

Damm...That's a sad story. I wish she would have got the right one. I would say she wasn't in her right mind when she joined the MMM.They used her just like MADD uses people who have losted someone from a drunk driver.

Steve Miller has a line in a song that goes something like, "The question to everyone's answer is usually asked from within."
I think this incident illustrates why so many libs are so self-righteous about gun control--they feel deep down inside they could never be trusted with something so powerful without someday doing something terrible with it. I'm sure most of us here feel differently about that. |

I think you have a point. I was talking to someone just last night that said straight out "I wouldn't trust MYSELF with a gun in the house." Then reminded me of her temper. She KNOWS that she is irrational and can't control herself. I think that is the only arguement not to have a gun that could stop me cold. Can't argue with that. It does disturb me though. You see, she is my ex-wife. My son lives with her half the time. I don't think he is in danger - but... Should I be worried here? |

It's tough to say if your son is in danger...but most of these folks are aware of their deficiencies and are ready to be public about them.

My son in danger was really just an afterthought. I think her current husband would be in danger if she had a gun - because of some things she said later in the conversation. At least she is smart enough to realize that I can be trusted with guns and so can our son. She even defended that when her sister flipped out about me giving him a gun for Christmas (a build it yourself derringer - more for the project than the gun really... but it IS his first gun)
My main point was that some people don't trust themselves around guns which naturally makes them think no one can be trusted. It is a common assumption that other people are like ourselves, though it is erroneous. |

[pissed] True enough. Imagine what the article would say if it had been somebody like you or me who pulled the trigger. "Police find illegal arsenal in compound of crazed gunman.." On the other hand, we'd probably at least be more careful get the right guy. We'd be charged anyway. Hope the victim manages to empty the MMM till, as much as I abhor what P.I. lawsuits have become. |
