OK, I just read the post re: "Combat & Survival Books."  What are your nominations for the best books from which to learn REALLY GOOD STUFF?  I'll start with several:

Infantry Attacks, by Erwin Rommel
Black Hawk Down, by ______  (I should know this ... Boward?)
Strategy, by B.H. Lidell Hart
Art of War, by Sun Tzu

Others?  Army field manuals are OK, too ...

"The Soldier's Handbook" by Col. Anthony Herbert, (ret.), not sure if this book is available as mine was purchased a long time ago.

Any of Col. David Hackworth's books, "About Face", "Hazardous Duty" or "Price of Honor". Those whom ordered original copies of Hack's books also got a combat primer (sorry I can't remember the title) included w/ the purchase which has very extensive tactical info on squad/platoon field movement as well as company and larger force tactics, very good info.

"A Rifleman Went To War" by Herbert McBride

"Marine Sniper - 93 Confirmed Kills", by Charles Henderson & E.J. Land.
