Here's the latest from the French!
http://www.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/europe/02/07/france.bush/index.html
A senior French government minister has attacked the U.S. approach to fighting terrorism as "simplistic."

Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine told France Inter radio on Wednesday: "We are friends of the United States, we are friends of that people and we will remain so.

"But we are threatened today by a new simplism which consists in reducing everything to the war on terrorism.

"That is their approach, but we cannot accept that idea. You have got to tackle the root causes, the situations, poverty, injustice."

These pricks!  I didn't here them screaming for us to "tackle the root causes, the situations, poverty, injustice" when we saved their asses from the Germans TWICE!

typical.  i think they're jealous.  that, and i'm pretty sure that they still haven't gotten over their inferiority complex from having to have their arses bailed out multile times.

I don't see them doing anything either to tackle the roots.

They just ran from Morocco & Algeria.

Q: "Why did the French plant those big trees up and down the Champ de Elysees in Paris?"

A: "Because the Germans prefer to march in the shade."

Typical frenchman!  I don't know which stinks more, his body or his mouth.  The only thing the French do that is not half ass is make wine!  What other exports do they really have, expect bad manners and bashing others for doing something they completely suck at!  Just wait until a devastating terrorist attack of foriegn origin happens on French soil.  We will see who they come running to with they tails between their legs!

The French might have a shred of cribility if they took just one proactive step towards accomplishing what they are whining about. They don't, and in their typical short sighted ways they would prefer to criticize our approach without offering any real solutions.

The French have only 2 states of being. Whining or surrendering.

I believe it was Ann Coulter who recently observed that if we are going to rid the world of terrorist and their allies we should start with France.  I agree. The French are probably the most vile example of evolution gone astray in the history of man.

Remember who you are supporting when you buy Michelin tires.  Michelin personifies every despicable trait the French have managed to embrace.

If you disagree with the whiney frenchman: take the poll at the bottom of the article and vote 'no'. I think we've been dealing with the "root causes" of other nationalities intolerance for too damn long. I just hope that Bush keeps with his instincts and listens to Rumsfeld and not the diplomats. Paraprasing him on Sept 11 aboard airforce-1: "Whoever did this is gonna get their asses kicked!"

I really resent how the Europeans and UN won't lift a finger to help us fight terrorism, but sit back and criticize everything we do.

OK France, since you're so good at being morally superior, we'll let you deal with poverty (Never mind that the hijackers and terrorist masterminds are all educated middle or upper class) and injustice in the Arab world.  Only fitting, as some of those countries used to be your colonies.

We'll stick to kicking ass and taking names, since that's what the US is good at doing.

Reminds me of the Ben Franklin quote "Any fool and criticize and complain, and most fools do."

Let's do some creative cutting and pasting on this Buffoon's rants shall we?

Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine
(AKA Minister Frog)

Vedrine said the rhetoric coming out of Washington was confirmation that the Republican administration approached foreign policy unilaterally.

"It presents a problem because it is not our vision of the world, it is not our vision of international relations, it is not our vision of globalisation," he said.

"It can have very positive aspects if it is mastered, regulated, humanised."

Vedrine also criticised U.S. support for Israel in its conflict with the Palestinians.

He said that Europeans opposed it and that the American vision of globalisation was not one France shared.

OH so these useless bags of political garbage are just yapping because they won't get a piece of the pie.  That their vision ain't exactly the US's.  AND they want action and respect and to be consulted.  Interesting.  Truly looking at their track record, I'd say WWI and WWII and Vietnam makes me shudder at what the French think are their "vision" of world-domination . . . errrrr . . .  "globalisation".

Let's not forget an interesting word since this IS Ar15.com . . .

But, France has been on a steady decline since the turn of the last century. There was once a time when Spain, England, and France were the three superpowers. Now, France and England have become Liberal Shitholes.

Eventually (lacking another revolution/civil war) America will become what France and England are today. Now that is a sickening thought.

Actually, all of Europe has become a shithole since the advent of the UN and EU.

I know I'll be flamed, but French Wine is the best there is. They serve Steak with a huge plate of French Fries. They have a great variety of Cheese. The women stroll the beaches topless. So, they do offer us better Wine and Cheese. In fact, their food is great. Their women are even better.

As for making stuff domestically...we can make better Fries. But, PRK has yet to turn out a wine that compares to French Wine.

FWIW, I don't give a Rat's Ass about Europe's opinion of us.

Now I wonder, if GWB said fine, All US troops are recalled to within US Borders, All American companies are prohibited from doing business abroad and All US Nationals shall return to US Territory. All Diplomats are expelled. If you need to reach us, use the phone, but expect a short conversation. We are closed.  The rest of you deal with the worlds problems and call us in 100 years. If you have an international crisis call the French.  They are far better at these things than we and should be able to help you.  If not, too bad, not our problem, go away, tell someone who cares.

Now, I wonder what the world would say to that!

If we want to keep the french from shitting on us then we should quit lying down in front of them.

Why has France, etc become liberal cesspools? Because we rebuilt their countries, their economies, and provided for their defense for decades.

A brief analogy if you will: Take the welfare class in this country. We provide housing, food, money, healthcare, education, etc. In return they contribute virtually nothing. Now how do you think they are going to vote? We have assured the creation of at least two generations of liberals, albeit ill-informed, lazy, and ignorant liberals. Their vote counts just as much as yours or mine. It is the same story in both cases. To hell with the french. Maybe they could take our burgeoning population of losers as well.

HA, I fart in your generally direction!

Frenchie

While blaming the French for their actions because they're just a bunch of assholes, perhaps the membership should consider the extenuating ciscumstances explained in the news release below.

-- Quote --

PARIS (WANG) -- A Afghan T-12 Air Force Trainer veered off course while on maneuvers and accidentally entered French airspace for several seconds on Wednesday. In response, France has surrendered its armed forces to the Afghan pilot.

Shortly before impaling himself on a baguette, Francois Mitterand told the French people of his government's decision to capitulate during a tear-filled radio broadcast.

"Dear citizens of France, it is with great sorrow that, in the face of such aggression, we must turn our arms over to the Afghans. Their surprise attack has left us no other option," Mitterand said.

Afghan Chancellor Mohammed Lickass Gadafi was stunned by the French announcement.

"I heard one of our pilots was lost in a storm. We only have six planes, so I was surprised when several French generals appeared at my doorstep later in the day, bowing before me and begging for their lives," Gadafi said. "They shaved
off their own mustaches and ate them to show obedience to me."

French officials have already begun to teach the Arabic language in their schools in efforts to appease their conquerors.

"We just want to exist peacefully with the Afghani people. If that means volunteering to be their slaves, so be it," said French actor Gerard Depardieu.

Afghan citizens were still trying to make sense of the events following the French announcements.

"I don't particularly care for the French, but I don't hate them either. I just cannot understand why they are such pussies," said Mohammed Su'kass Mantra'in, manager for the musical group Allah Rocks.

Mitterand closed his speech by vowing to hunt down and imprison any "resistance movement members who may cause trouble for the great Afghan liberators.

Before throwing himself off the Eiffel Tower in a final display of loyalty to the Afghan people, Mitterand signed into law a bill eliminating Bastille Day from the French national calendar.

"I don't want to antagonize the Afghan people. Louis XVI was one-tenth Jewish you know," Mitterand screamed as he gutted himself with a baguette and fell to his doom.

So please, do not judge these poor souls so harshly as the lick the boothells of their Afgani oppressors.  :-)

You must realize that the English (I'm one) have, over the past 1000 years or so, made hating the French a religion, and have done their damndest to kill as many as possible.

So, it is with a certain amount of experience that I suggest that the best way that the U.S. can piss-off the frogs is (1) Ignore them (2) Persist with the current strategems, letting success prove them wrong – there's nothing they hate more.

One example of how one can "help' Le Francais when one is accosted by them while they are touristing in NYC:

This occured on 34th St & 8th Ave right near MSG.

Le Francais: (Rude and aggressive as usual, even though they're in OUR country) Where is the Metropolitan Museum of Art?!

Me: Oh, sure, let me help you. See the 8th Ave subway over there? Well, go down there and get on the A Express Train going uptown. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE UPTOWN EXPRESS. Get off at 145th St & Lexington Ave. It's right there. You can't miss it!

When they arrived in the middle of East Harlem as it was getting dark I bet they learned the meaning of the word "RESPECT" rather quickly.

Funny you should mention this.

I just finished reading "Blitzkreig" by Len Deighton. 'From the Rise of Hitler to the Fall of Dunkirk'

It seems in the last days at Dunkirk the Brits got their people out and sent in one more fotilla to bring out as many of the French troops pulling rear guard.

"Unknown to the French command and undetected by the French military police, an estimated 40,000 soldiers came out of the cellars and ruins of Dunkirk where they had been hiding from the fighting. That night 26,175 soldiers were taken off by sea, but few of them were from the fighting rear guard for whom the ships were intended. The French historian Jacques Mordal described this as the most heartbreaking episode in the whole story of Dunkirk."

Heartbreaking my ass. Those chickenshits should have been dumped at sea. [:(!]

All in all, a very good book on the early stages of the war with a good insight on the cluster-f*#k the French had for a military command structure.
