Not the WTC/Pentagon victims, but American Servicemen who served this country in Vietnam from 64'-75'. 1,947 people who are still missing and are unaccounted for. The Totals : Vietnam - 1,468 (North, 523; South, 945); Laos - 411; Cambodia - 60; Peoples Republic of China territorial waters - 8. There was solid reports from both Civilians, Defectors and Former CIA assets located in Cambodia, and Laos that an estimated 87 Americans were being held captive (POW) after 1975-not one has been recovered. The CIA made efforts to covertly recover American POW's in 1981, with funding help from Ross Perot. These efforts were unsucessful but the fact that 6yrs after the War ended there were Americans still being held capitive.
Now with all the Patriotic fever and the Praise for the Military, It is time to try close this chapter in America's history. Congress and the President should Demand more Answers from Russia, China and Hanoi. We should accept no less. No favored nation status for China, No Money for Russia. No trading with Vietnam- Until we have some real answers. Let your congressmen/women know that they may be lost- BUT NOT FORGOTTEN.
