I beleive it mentioned someplace that CLP/petroleum was not an acceptable lubricant for the threads.

Those are part numbers for products from Nye lubricants... which is what surefire uses.

Syl-Glyde is an excellent lubricant for flashlight threads and O-rings. It's silicone-based, cheap, and available at most auto parts stores (commonly used for lubricating brake caliper pins). NAPA sells a four ounce "toothpaste tube" of it (P/N 765-1351) for about 6 bucks. Four ounces is probably enough to last ya several lifetimes...
