So I im at H hour, D day.

In about 45 minutes I'm leaving for my recruiters office and then going to the MEPS hotel, and then tomorrow I ship to Ft. Benning.

I'll be back sometime in November. Well, thats all I have.

ETA: Army Airborne Infantry with the Ranger Option

Good luck! Remember, it is only for a short while, and when you are done, you will be a SOLDIER.

ETA: Benning... across the State, but if you end up in Savannah I'll buy ya a beer.

Two things,
1. don't volunteer for nothing,
2. always try to look busy.

Good luck and thanks for serving during these tumultuous times.

One last thing, when refeering to the POTUS as sir, it's ok to spell it c u r in this case.

ETA: The worst day will be the first day when you have no idea what is going on. After that, its a piece of cake. Just plant your feet where they tell you to and don't rock on your feet.

I go to meps friday and then im off to ft benning as well. Good luck I heard meps is "fun"

It takes a brave good man( or woman ) to sign up in wartime.

ESPECIALLY in a Combat Arms MOS. You just KNOW where you're eventually going to end up.

Not necessarily anymore. I talked to a guy who went to Benning for basic for some pogue MOS. Of course the Infantry guys are still a seperate OSUT.

The clerks and jerks also don't like it if you "click" their pens when you're filling out your paperwork.

Started in early July and was done in December due a restart after an injury.
