I got a ton of them when they were dirt cheap and came in clear hulls. They work great in my Saiga, 3 extra pellets than you normally see, but don't pattern tightly at all which may be good or bad depending on what distances you are expecting to use them at.

I have not used that.

I prefer the Federal Tactical 00 Buck 9 pellet, as seen here ((http://le.atk.com/general/federalproducts/shotshell/tacticalbuckshot.aspx).

Out of a smooth bore shotgun you will print consistent 5 (five) inch patterns from 15 yards.  Really good stuff.

I have heard but can not confirm that the shells are slightly long resulting in a -1 capacity in the mag tube.

Depends on the length of the tube, but they are longer than usual 2 3/4" shells because they aren't crimped. Excellent for shotguns that only take 2 3/4" shells (bigger payload).
