I was looking around for a way to make my 2.3Liter engine put out some more power. Well, I found a webpage with a discussion forum called "therangerstation.com" which conducts a generalized discussion on improving your Ford truck.

Browsed their 2.3L forum(quit laughing), and discovered that one of the things to be done is to take out "the baffle" from inbetween my MAF and throttlebody.  This will help relieve the restriction.

What baffle?  Why would there be one?

I unscrewed the plastic "flower vase" air tube and looked inside. Flipping baffle.  When I took it out in my University Parking lot, it looked almost exactly like an RPG warhead.  Glad our parking lot mall ninjas didn't attack.

I picked up a little noticeable power with that mod.  I guess next is a chip and cold, ram-air induction.  Already have K&N airfilter.

I might hit 120 HP.  Now we're talking Real Power!

I would suggest adding a T06 Turbo with a 100 shot of nitrous to get that bastard moving. 4" exhaust, intercooler, open intake, drag slicks.

Just make sure you have a friend sitting in the engine bay, pouring in the extra gas you will need while driving. Else you will melt your pistons.
