the liberal mindset is such that they think that they represent the working class. this, in spite of the fact that liberalism is usually an intellectual belief system.
as a result, if there is class struggle, they expect it will be them, representing the working class against the industrialist/ capitalist conservatives. labor vs capital, remember? hence they, (from kennedy down), fail to realize that they do not accurately represent the feelings of the majority of middle class working america, which can be distinctly anti-intellectual at times, especially when the intellectual elite has lost contact with reality. imo. |

Did anyone else notice that there were a lot of complaints they had which mirror the ones we have here? Misrepresentation in the media, corruption in government, the trend towards fascism in this country, etc. It just seems like some of them are basically like some of us with slightly different beliefs, but ones where we could respect and accept differences. It would be nice if we could work with them to get rid of all the BS where the media and government play us off each other so we don't have time to deal with the real problems.

It's really sad how they accuse everyone of being a Nazi. These people don't even know what Nazism is. They labor under some misconception that Nazism came from the "Right Wing" (whatever that is supposed to be.)
Do they really think Pat Robertson is going to don his SS uniform and kick down their door to ask them to stop sodomizing each other and sucking their bongs? And do they think the Christian Coalition in America really has that much power any more? Apparently, they do indeed. The whole board full of half-wits is in complete denial of every atrocity committed by so-called "left-wing" tyrannical regimes. They somehow attribute it to the MilitaryIndustrialCorporateChristian complex. They have missed the whole point of modern conservative thinking, namely "Get your damned hand out of my pocket and don't tell me what kind of guns I can own. Leave me the hell alone." And I know of one or two with access to some pretty big machine guns, legally owned and operated. We could provide our own support weaponry... and the machinists could turn out mortars in short order, I'm guessing. And that's just the Server Support guys. Fuck the DUistas.
