Congrats to Alabama, Idaho, Montana, Louisiana, Kentucky, Miane and Wyoming.
All with a good solid [size=6]F[/size=6] South Carolina ....a C- I'm sorry, mom and dad. we will try harder. Funny - NO ONE rates an A+ with these freaks. I wondering what an A+ looks like to them. Having THE (one and only) state gun under guard at Fort Knox???? |

On the filthy lying pages of the Brady Campaign website, some Neanderthal wrote: In its fifth annual analysis of state laws protecting children from gun violence, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence united with the Million Mom March, and in partnership with independent state gun violence prevention groups, highlighted the progress made in its efforts to protect children from gun violence and noted an encouraging decrease in the number of children killed by guns. However, while some states have successfully strengthened their gun laws and blocked efforts by the gun lobby to weaken existing laws, a number of states continue to drag their feet on gun safety measures, putting children in danger. Since their grades are based on protecting children, I expect that States with high grades will suffer no children killed. On that same note, Montana and Wyoming will be juvenile bloodbaths. Can someone please publish this, with actual crime stats for the general public? If they read this, they may see that the Brady Campaign is simply full of idiots. |

Huh, I figured GA would get lower than a D, what with being able to carry in your car and all.
Georgia Code 16-11-126. (d) This Code section shall not forbid any person who is not among those enumerated as ineligible for a license under Code Section 16-11-129 (CCW) from transporting a [b]loaded[/b] firearm in any private passenger motor vehicle in an open manner and fully exposed to view or in the [b]glove compartment, console, or similar compartment of the vehicle[/b]; provided, however, that any person in possession of a valid permit issued pursuant to Code Section 16-11-129 may carry a handgun in any location in a motor vehicle. |

You know... Can someone complile this data in correlation with the crime rates for each of these states? I would immagine that Alabama and Montana are pretty safe states, especially in comparison to a place like Baltimore, MD. *shudder*

I think South Carolina got an unfair grade, and I plan to write to the Brady Bunch of Vegetables and complain.
I mean, consider this: We have NO requirement for a pistol permit when buying from a private party. We have shall issue concealed carry. AND We just legalized Class III. What could be MORE child unfriendly than that?? [rolleyes] I want a lower grade. I feel we earned it. I wonder if there is an appeals process. [?] |

It was gratifying to see my home state of Alabama receiving a most deserving "F." Virginia only got a C-!! With a Democreep Governor, there is no telling if we'll be able to get that grade down to a more acceptable D- or F. Warner says he supports sportsmen and he got an A- rating from the NRA, but we all know just how stable the Democreeps are. |

Maybe Scott Ogan, my legiscritter, can help. He was endorsed by the Anchorage Daily News (run by McClatchy out of S. California) during his first bid for office, so I still have my doubts about him. So much for grades. I haven't found another population other than rural North Idaho that doesn't give a flying f*** about gun control. |

There is no repairing it from the inside with the staggering amounts of anti-gun liberal HCI tools embedded in all levels of the MD government. |

I live in CT. Prior to '93 (the year it passed its own strict AW ban), it was a very decent place to own firearms.

What I find interesting is Maine got an “F” while Vermont got a “D-.” What is up with that? Everyone needs a piece of paper to carry in Maine, but in VT all you need to be is over 21.
The ProMassholia got cheated!! We have effectively a handgun sales ban and we only got an “A-.” I’m pissed. |
