Makers Mark is a favorite of mine. Jack Daniels will always do. I don't drink rum or tequilla drinks. Gin & tonic only on hot summer days with a squeeze of lime. Before meals, a Bloody Ceasar is about as good as it gets. As for beer...I drink Guinness for a dark beer & Sierra Navada Pale Ale for a light beer.

All things considered, I'll have a drink or two maybe once a week. Not a huge alcohol consumer, but it does have it's place.

Of course, all the hardcore drinkers know... If it's worth the effort to say "I'm not much of a drinker", then you are a serious drinker.  [:D]

What the hell.....  [beer] cheers

Jack (black label) and a great number of microbrews are my favs.

Our boys in blue seem to frown on me partaking of the beverage, so I havent had any in quite some time.  However, in my day, it was usually Jack Black and Budweiser or Busch.  Now its coffee, tea and water.  Damn I miss beer.

Edited cause I forgot how to spell.

I have a bottle of 30 year old Laphroaig in my liquor cabinet that's only down four fingers or so. A buddy and I bet it on Mark McGwire's season ending home run number the year he broke Maris' record (1999?). Since he said 69 and I said 71, we ended up splitting it. The deal is that it can only be drunk when we're together, and he lives in Califrickinfornia!

It's like a bottle of warm peat smoke.

I like Sapphire or Ketel One on the rocks with lime when it's hot. Guinness, Shiner Bock, Fat Tire or Yuengling when it comes to beer. Another Pennsylvania native mentioned Yuengling and reminded me. Much better than Rolling Rock.

And crap there too.

But unless they are doin' it IN my well, I have "bigger fish to fry" - like how am I gonna afford my next M1.
[:D]

And don't forget people - beer is nothing more than rotted, decaying plants used to discolor and pollute the water those fish crapped in.

BEVERAGE HORROR STORY: Heard this on the brewery tour: A guy moved from PA to CA, and knowing that Yuengling wasn't available on the Left Coast, he decided to purchase ~30 cases of the Lager bottles to hold him over. (He had a U-haul) Upon arriving in CA, he found that each and every case of it was skunked.[shock]

That is a major beer foul, and meets the standard to be called alcohol abuse.

He should have rented a reefer truck.

(In my best Peter Jennings voice)

"ABC News is reporting that several 55 gallon barrels filled with dihydrogen monoxide were uncovered by Special Forces in Afghanistan today.

Members of the Intelligence Community have claimed that this substance has been used by the Taliban and al Queda in the past, and this chemical has the effect of causing uncontrollable urination when taken in large quantities, and drowning may occur if your head is submerged in it.

The ABC News crew on the scene is complaining of shortness of breath due to even moderate exposure. stay tuned for continuing coverage. Also, guns are bad."

Also, this chemical, when used in conjunction with fully automatic bolt-action assault machine guns, will cause rust, which may endanger the poor, downtrodden, misunderstood freedom fighter
by causing stuck rounds and possibly resulting in misfires that would leave him defenseless against our imperialist troops. Did I mention that guns are bad?

"What does Marcellus Wallace look like?"
"What?"... (to be continued)
