Before I have one more and taper off, I better post this story.  Tomorrow I am going to church, well really I am going to a church.  I am about as much of a non-believer as you can find but, I will go anywhere for food; remember Texas?  I was invited to a "Beast Feast" tomorrow evening at a church down the road from the gunshop.  I have heard about this before but, was never invited.  It is put on by the members(a lot I guess are hunters) at no charge.  Some of the menu I have heard: 3 types deer, elk, wild hog, polar bear, and others, russian caviar, all NW seafood, alligator, several African game meats, couger, all types of bird, and a bunch more.  Of course I will have a full report.  The kicker is a they are flying in NYPD officer set to tell his stories and bringing his pictures.

That sounds like fun.  Ahh, I miss the days when the Church had manly saints like St. Hubert (the patron saint of hunters).  I even miss the real St. Nicholas of Smyrna who was disciplined at the council of Nicea for literally kicking the $hit out of montanists.  He's known as being the patron saint of children, but he's also known as the patron saint of prositutes and thieves.

Ahh... those were the days!

1. I didn't burst into flames.
2. I would have never thought of sweet & sour cougar.
3. You can have the eggs, I'll eat the fish.  Fish eggs taste like fish eggs.
