Doesnt humidity tend be more of a problem than radon?

All depends on the soil type/parent material.  In karst-types (limestone), there is no worry.  But then again, karst have natural underground homes called caves.



Yes, humidity is a problem but that is easily taken care of with mild air conditioning.



Windows and the outside light are important for mental health.

I lived in an apartment for one year that had no bedroom window.  NEVER AGAIN.  That shit will make you crazy, at the very least depressed.
