Not difficult, it's about the prep work. You want a real compressor of the air brush.

The Magpul FDE gun was first, the pale gray was second. I decided to take the guns apart, so all the Duracoat was done to individual pieces. Lauer sells a spray cleaner/degreaser, and you want to use that. Take your time, follow Lauer's instructions. Tin coats, and multiple coats work best. Let the parts dry for a good long time (not easy to do) before assembly. Keep all lubes and cleaners away from the parts for at least a week after they are sprayed. Go for it, it's really fun, not too difficult, and a real blast to do. In fact, I need to do another one real soon. |

Its so easy a caveman can do it. Really. The hardest part is cleaning up. Wear a respirator, that stuff is thick.

Use a good paint deployment apparatus. I tried the shitty airbrush that came with the kit and it sucked. I went out and bought a Kobaly detail gun and it worked very very well.

I don't know about anyone else but I think this is badass
 http://uparmored.tripod.com/ I'd consider flying a weapon to NY just to have them do a complete rifle, since their websites says they can't receive weapons in the mail.. |

its ok.. i prefer the better wear property's of Ceracoat better.. Seemed to last a bit longer and was a bit stronger in adhesion.

It is okay. I have a Romy G kit built on an Armory USA AK receiver that I duracoated in semi-gloss black and it has held up fine so far.
I had my 1911 worked on by Springfield Custom and I had them refinish it with Black-T. It is a nicer finish than duracoat.
