i was just wondering what you guys think

do you bug out when it gets to the point of localized rioting scattered through out the country,
when the unrest hits you locally
do you wait for the food riots
the burning of the cities
when the gangs that take control
but hopefully before the total gov lockdown

when to go, how to know, and is it not easier to come back if your wrong then to fight your way tooth and nail

Long before any of that. If that's going on you are too late and you won't get out.

Probably the riots.  I'd love to stay and fight, but I don't want anything to happen to my family, so I would likely fight my way out of town and then head to my gf's family's land in Eastern Kentucky.

Thats one hell of a trip, you may want a back up plan. My bug out location is about 2 miles from my house, since i already live out in the sticks as it is.
