Unfortunately , pastors/evangelists in the 70s and 80s that demonized rock n roll set multitudes of teens against the church all because they didn't like the music.

Christian Metal/Rock/ect is one of the greatest things that is out there today........and Christians have been the biggest opponents of it.

While the bands may not be making "satanic music" outright it IS there if you want since that's what the song is about.

I side with God,but to know the dark side/use their ways is sometimes a necessity.

That's actually better than some of the "related videos" linked on the page.

One guy is insistent that songs must contain explicit references to God and/or Jesus to be "acceptable". At least he recognizes that spiritual music can be uplifting. I never understood the type of people who think that the only "proper" music for church is all of that dreary melancholic crap. You should be *happy* about your faith, not depressed (or at the very least, solemn and emotionless).

(BTW, my favorite "Christian Rock" song is Armed and Dangerous by Petra... awesome tune if you are so inclined. Of course I also listen to "secular" music too... and watch "secular" films and read "secular" literature...)

This type attitude pretty much killed the Church I grew up in. A couple of the elders walked out of the church because the young people were playing Put Your Hand In The Hand in the basement. It was evil Rock & Roll. What started as a growing interest in Church by the youth was killed that day. Once we became adults, almost all the youth I grew up with lost all interest in going to Church.

Back when I was in middle school and high school, I knew a bunch of people who were into the occult stuff, and it seemed like serious bad shit. In retrospect, the whole thing just seems really goofy to me. I can't do much more than laugh thinking about all of the kids I knew who thought they were witches, wizards, and "devil worshippers". Fucking nerds.
