Jes, the gobment could fine themselves some of our tax money for disobeying their own rules.  And that, my friend, would be a messed up situation.

Well anyone that lives in MI knows that most of these head away from Detroit. I'm more used to seeing a train full of them however.

I think some of you would be surprised how often the government fines "itself."

Well not anymore. But there used to be alot around at the Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant. Still see them here and there.

That, or it's freshly rebuilt one, out of the Anniston depot.   But I think most of those go right back to the sandbox.

Up through most of the '90s, the only M1 tanks I was aware of being produced were in the Cairo, Egypt plant.  I wasn't sure which ones may have been stood up since then.

Cool pics, cool transport.

Not that heavy, though, as far as oversize/overweight loads go.  What, 60 tons?

I see mofos like these all the time coming out the Port of Houston (and other ports) headed up to West Texas and the wind farms.  Nacelle for a wind turbine:

(not my pictures)

I'm thinking when the haz-waste transport dries up or gets boring I'm moving to the wind energry transport business.

Ain't all that heavy.  Seen subsea christmas trees at over 110 tons on the roads.  But these are really special loads.

I'll bet it has that "new tank" smell.
