Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - installing shutters

going to put on some vinyl shutters on the house and was wondering if anyone has done it..   they sell the plastic ribbed achors that it looks like you just drill a 1/4 inch hole in your vinyl siding and pop them in..  unsure how well these are secured ..  i was thinking of using deck screws instead....


if anyone has done these before ..  a few tips would be great
