In my lifetime I've had many guns that I loved, but I could not shoot them well.

1- Browning High Power, I could never get the gun to group worth a shit. Sold it to my brother and it shot great!

2- Sig 210-5 Very accurate gun, but ate the web of my hand with hammer bite.

3- Desert Eagle .44 mag could the grip be any bigger!

4- LAR Grizzly .45 Win mag same as the DE

My P85 Ruger, I can't hit "anything" with it. It's sentimental though. I got it out of lay away the day before comrade Clinton signed the Brady bill.

No, I haven't. My "love" for a firearm is directly related to how it performs. If it is a poor shooter, I have no affection for it.

I had a smith and wesson model 360pd. Scandium framed rev that weighed 12 oz. That gun showed me no love when shot with 357 loads.

I had alot of fun with that gun, especially letting friends shoot it for the first time.

My Sig GSR (1911).

Love the gun, can't hit shit with it.

I am a decent shot with other 1911s as well as my other Sig pistols.

Just not this one..

Thought it was the gun for a long time but my brother and my girlfriend are great shots with it.

haha, I just took mine to the range today. My grip slipped on the gun and the slide cut the shit out of my hand. I think I am going to melt it down for pay back.

It used to draw blood thru the skin in between my pointer finger and thumb from the recoil.

Swedish 1896 Mauser I bought with the full intent of making it a silhouette rifle. Cost $100, no blueing, stock was beat to crap. Put a new Shilen barrel on it, bent the bolt handle, polished, blued, Timney trigger, Fajen thumbhole stock, glass bedding, 2-piece scope mount, decent scope.

YEARS of load testing, and I could not make it shoot well. Traded it in on a revolver.

Second one was a Kimber Eclipse Pro II I bought used. External extractor model. Couldn't get through a magazine without at least two failures to extract. Sent it back to Kimber, they put a new, internal extractor upper on it. Extracted, but it didn't like the pet .45 load that all my other 1911's shoot well. Front sight was loose, too. Traded it in on an EAA Witness Match .38 Super this weekend.

Those are the only two.

My dad's Ruger P95 9mm... The feed ramp on it is a POS

Edit: 1911s... I LOVE the way they look and feel, but my hands are too damn small. I cant reach the slide release with my thumb

What are yours?

Walther PPK/S; sexy as a woman to look at but hurts the web of my hand too much to shoot for any length of time! And my first two pistol were a 6" Python and a 6" Mod 29 S&W, so recoil isn't the problem. I decided it boils down to a short, very sharp recoil impulse concentrated by the very narrow backstrap into a similarly narrow area of my hand.

Sig P250. Still haven't mastered the trigger pull on the DAO. Fits like a glove and I can shoot it well enough to pass CC (10 rds and 5 different distances) but it frustrates the hell out of me.

S&W 659. First pistol I bought after turning 21.

Loved the gun but could not hit crap with it. My dad was retired Army at the time, and he could not hit with it either.

S&W 422. Everyone on teh intarwebs seems to love them, but for me it's just too light. After a couple of mags, the target looks like I patterned a shotgun.

Nice little .22LR pistol, accurate, shoots great. But my God, when I take it apart to clean it, putting it back together is a bitch every fucking time. That fucking swing-out key thing that goes in the grip... what the fuck. What fucking lunatic thought that shit up. JESUS. I want to find his address and mail him a bomb.

That gun never goes back together before I've gone through at least two strings of profanity at it.

Not so much the gun but I had a Glock 17 with Ameriglo Ghost ring sights and couldn't group worth a damn past 10 yards. Same thing with XS Big dots. Anything else like factory sights, TruGlo TFO's, and Meprolights I did extremely well with at most distances.

...And the Glock 27 w/o the magazine extension.

Spray it down with CLP till its oozing everywhere then hit it with the Air Compressor to blow the excess off.

My Springfield 1911.

I do not know if it is mag related or not, but it is unreliable. I am just not that eager to spend $$ on it. It is like new, maybe 50 rounds through it too.

I will get to it one day, or maybe not. It ain't hurting anything sitting around. Besides, it is pretty.

I love the look and feel of SIGs and Berettas (especially the look of Berettas. Mmnn, baby.) but I have such small hands that I can't reach their double action triggers to save my life.

T/C Contender .357 Magnum; I could barely keep it on the paper at 15 yards, benched.

I traded it at a gun shop, and the guy who got it next was shooting one hole groups with it a week later.

S&W .500 Express w/ 3 inch barrel.

It felt like someone had slapped me in the face. Hard.

I fired it 3 times - had enough and thanked the kind gentleman for the opportunity.

He was all over the place with it - fired it once, the cannon barrel came up, he double-fired it at the top of the travel, and I was honestly a little concerned for the aircraft I could see...

Colt Ultimate Stainless Gold Cup fucker looked like a mirror I bought some ajax pearlite grips for it
It was truly bad ass too bad the older stainless like that galled like a motherfucker , the disconnector broke , and the stupid collet barrel bushing broke
At least I got it (for a gold cup anyway) cheap traded it at a gun show for a sporting clays gun
over the next decade or so saw it on the local gunsmiths bench about 5 diffrent times and saw it at at least 4 different gun show dealers tables in the same period fucker was truly cursed

H&K USP45 - Looks great on paper, but the ergonomics just weren't there for me.
H&K P7M8 - Heats up way too fast for me to really train with

I purchased a P7M8 without regrets, but while looking for the USP45 as my first sidearm purchase, my FFL pulled a beat-to-hell range rental 1911 (an SA Loaded) from the case, checked that it was empty, and handed it to me. I fell in love as soon as I picked it up.
