Yup!  My great state recently "freed the hops", and high gravity beer is available and what the Ninja wants.  Been at work since 0400, off tomorrow, time to go by the yummy beer store and gets me some good stuff.  What'll I get?  Dunno!  But you can bet that I will report back later and report on my selection!

Do you like "big" beers but just haven't been able to have them there? Sierra Nevada Bigfoot is a nice barleywine that can be found in most places.

I *love* "big" beers!  The old limit was 5.9, not exactly weak, but so many fine craft beers exist over that.  Almost to the beer store...

Dogfish Head 120minute IPA

22%

OR for a much smoother beer, but a mere 9.5%

Dogfish Head 90minute IPA

Victory Hop Devil is also one of my favorites, but I've been drinking the 90 and 120 IPA's lately.

I have no idea what this thread is about, but might I recommend some fine brews?

High Gravity 800
Olde English
Mickey's
King Kobra
Steel Reserve

Rumor has it that Rockefeller himself could be seen sipping this sumptuous, high quality nectar in the most extravagant of ball rooms.

And you're in luck!  They shouldn't run more than $1.59 or so for a 40.

Steel Reserve and Colt 45 FTW.  The first time I was ever drunk, I got there on two 22oz Steels and a 22 of Colt 45.  I didn't exactly enjoy beer before that experiance, but I really don't enjoy it any more.  It tastes even worse the second time.

Man you guys are making me thirsty tonight...ANOTHER couple of excellent beers. I think that Victory might be regional though. DFH is definitely one of the best domestic breweries out there in my opinion. I'm reading Sam Calagione's (the owner) book now Brewing Up a Business. Good book

Didn't Ben Franklin say something to the effect that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy? Or was that someone else?
