Here at work i use an Allen-Bradley spill proof keyboard. Its the kind thaat have a one piece cover over top of all the keys so that liquids or chips can't get underneath  the keys and foul the key board.

I hate this thing!!! it constantly double taps letters as well as space bar. I have underlinned all the words that i  have typed that have   one letter more then i have typed. You will also notice the spacing between words that are  not correct.

I work as a machinist, so i understand the  reasons for them using these keyboards. But this thing is frustraiting as hell while trying to type in passwords for different accounts.

I have switched out this keyboard for a new one a few times and same thing happens, but with different keys being the issue.

Anyone else use one of these?

My typing skills are bad enouugh without  having to deal with this POS....

I remember back in high school they had those plastic covers adn they sucked then.

Altex has a keyboard made entirely of rubber with the micro switches embedded in it. You can roll it up if you wanted to. Only about 1/4 inch thick.

Lay off the porn at work and they would give you a regular keyboard.

I have one. It has issues. The caps lock key is too close to the A key, so more often than not you hit caps instead of A. It also feels very dead as compared with a regular keyboard. It feels like you have to strike the keys harder to get the typing to register.

That Altex one looks almost the same as this Allen Bradley, only difference  is that this keyboard has a base on it, oh and the price. I couldnt find a price for this keyboard, but im guessing its at least in the $200 range.

This keyboard feels like typing on a wet sponge.

You could buy a Panasonic toughbook like me. Spill proof, drop proof.
