So for the past few weeks I've seen commercials on TV telling the viewer to contact their reps to tell them you want free medical and that its a success and working...
No doubt our tax dollars are running these ads. This is ridiculous. |

I think this is America and anyone that don't want it can refuse to sign up for it I think most people are too stupid to understand that "free" isn't free. Just to educate you a little, if I refuse "free" health care, my health benefits from my wife's work place and mine will be taxed.....as It's going to cost me a shit ton to keep my already expensive health care benefits. Dumb shits all of them. |

I don't know how to feel about this anymore.
I don't think people should be forced to pay for other people's medical bills. However, I also think that if you are going to live and work in society, it's just basic common decency to make sure that the sick get the help they need. I think it should bother everyone to 'step over a dying person on the way to work'. That being said, I've never had health insurance. And the one time when I faced high bills... A church stepped in and volunteered to pay the big portion of my bill. So there are means that exist now for poor people with no insurance. |

Yep. The public is being sold the notion that the economy is in fine shape and now The Kenyan has turned his attention to ramming NHC down our throats. He will do this by doubling the national debt to $20 trillion dollars. This would be 4 times the debt with which GW Bush started.
The drum beat will likely increase this week. The words said by Joe Biden and The Kenyan make their intent clear, "There will be national health care". Those are Joe Biden's words today. The Kenyan uttered essentially an identical comment last week. Our new commie, leaddog, is noted. |

This is the same bullshit that got (the)Clinton(s) elected AND reelected.
Obama is just waving his arms higher in the air and braying a little bit louder than they did. This is great material for the "Never Ending Campaign" and will keep the libtards all glassy eyed for a long time. It will die down eventually and somewhere down the line someone will say "Hey! WTF happened to our free health care?" Then the same bullshit shuffle will ensue. |

I have nothing but the utmost contempt for the man. Whatever ills come his way are well deserved.

Except that is not what has been proposed… pay attention it will be mandatory you will not be able to refuse. |

And there are MDs wanting it too. So they can make $70k a year and not have to worry about insurance. No malpractice either, meaning lawyers will be stuck out in the cold.

Doctors from all over the world want to practice here.
Patients from all over the world want their care here. And Obama wants us to change into Canada?! |

I am thinking a massive tax holiday is going to be in order soon.

Anything that's "free" is neither free nor worth the cost.

Instead of having the best care at a price, we will have poor care that is free. And you will wait for all care, in lines like you do at the DMV for your license/tags.

Right now, the best are drawn to profit, the worst go into public health. Under ubongo's plan, ALL will be forced into the same care. |

it's coming.
Guess how it will be paid for? fast food tax, sugar tax, pop tax, more alcohol, tax, health benefits tax, ect. ANd then part of it will have the govt regulating even more how you live your life. |

So Obama and his thugs are going to lower the quality of life for me and my family by sucking extra money out of my paycheck to pay for others medical costs. If you ask me we need to yell, scream, call, write, and march in the streets against this. This is nothing but class warfare bullshit. We need to get organized heavily NOW...

It'll also create even more of a two-tiered medical system.
The rich will recieve different care than the rest. There will be certain docs and facilities that won't take the government plan. Sort of like private schools. Everyone pays for the public schools, but the rich are able to double down, and pay for the higher quality private schools on top of that. This is what happened in Canada, and it was even outlawed for a while. |

Or is this strictly out of pocket payments? |

Correct. It will be working for less than half the pay, and you'll still have all the liability. 70K a year? that would be about 30 percent LESS than what I made as a military doc... and I would still have to pay my 35K-per-year malpractice insrance out of that. Sorry... they can get f*cked if that's their plan. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

As for Canada, you've got to wonder about a country that has to make private insurance illegal. (Took their Supreme Court to overturn that, I believe.) |

I got a feeling the AMA was a big contributor to the Kenyan, so the docs and medical industry will probably be OK as long as the funds keep coming in. The big loser will be the people who have to use the system. Can anyone name one government program that works efficiently and well?

A government large enough to provide you with everything is large enough to take everything away. |
