Standard load is 7 mags (6 mags in two 3-mag pouches or in the LBV and one in the mag.)

If memory serves (from the book) the Little Birds dropped them some ammo and water during the night. Then again, I could be imagining I read that...

Those TFR guys that i have spoken with on the net, especially who were in the Humvees had 10+ mags..
The only resupply flight i remember without checking from the book was done by Super 66. |

It depends on who in the book you are referring to. The Delta team carried vests that could contain up to 12 30 rnd mags, while the Rangers were wearing standard LBE. The vehicles that made the initial wounded / prisoner pickup carried extra ammo and water. (the latter is fromt the History Chanels "The True story of Black Hawk Down".
Common sense tells you that you cannot sustain a fire fight for 15 hrs without some resupply. |
