GF just came in and asked if I had any money, I told her to check my wallet on the table next to the door...
She said "Is that it"? So I strolled to the safe and pulled out two envelopes and handed them to her, she open them and said, "why do you have so much cash?" I said for when you ask if that's all I had. So, what amount do you keep on hand? For the record it was about 8K. |
Fail for showing your girlfriend your stash.
I keep enough to get me by. I don't carry much with me, though. |
4 50 dollar bills tucked in my wallet just in case. I don't carry a lot of cash, i'm a debit card kind of guy, so usually aside from my emergency 200, I could have anywhere from 0-100 dollars.
ya... I wouldn't be showing my girlfriend that. Usually about $0 though.
I usually don't have any actually cash on me just my debit card.
I'll keep a minimum of $200 on me and some more at home but not $8k.
Credit and debit cards are fine but cash is king. There's nothin you can't buy with cash. |
I had $3.00 due at the airport parking garage yesterday. I had $2.00 in change in my center console and had to pay with my debit card.
Don't plan to carry much more than that one me when I'm out...Think I'll move some more money to the safe as well though. |
Usually between $100-200 in my wallet. Everything else is in the bank.
On hand, less and $50 at all time.
In the house, somewhere between $500 and $5000. |
I used to keep around 6 months of pay stashed in cash around the house, till someone found it and blew it all

Quoted: Quoted: woah, seriously? Hmm story time Yep, no story to tell at all, one word Divorce It still pisses me off |
I keep almost no cash on me whatsoever.
It is rare if I have more than $20 in my wallet. |
I'm not tellin'.
But it's in USD, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars, and Euros just in case we plunge quickly. |
$20-$40 in the wallet
stashed at home, enough to pay all the bills for 6 months |
About $20k. I'm old fashioned. My parents and several other relatives lost their savings in bank failures so after that they started keeping enough cash to cover six months worth of expenses. I've always done the same. Of course that meant for a good portion of my life I had more money in my safe than in a bank.z
not much cash on hand but I have quite the collection of firearms and ammo
While it's good to keep enough cash and bullion available to survive if the banks go tits up overnight...(such a thing is not impossible despite the mindless rantings of certain arfcommers)..
you can't just be waving it around and bragging about it. Thats the best way to make sure said money and coinage grow legs and disappear. A high quality floor safe sunk into concrete is a good storage.....keep a large piece of furniture over it. Other means of safe, discrete and difficult to find and access storage are available. The OP who showed his GF all his cash is going to learn in the very near future just what his GF values more....him or his $. |
like $20-$40. Sometimes less. The rest is in the bank or in ammo.
Usually about 2 grand in the safe, but it is down to about one now. I need to get to an ATM.
Oh me I usually have $300-$500. In my safe, at least $10k. It varies from time to time, depending on what I find to buy week to week.
$20 bucks. I prefer plastic easier to make a phone call than to chase down who ever snatched your cash.
Quoted: Nothing. I NEVER have money on me. Nothing on me, nothing in the safe. I actually HATE using cash. |
damn dude!
OPSEC!! g/f: doesn't get to know shit. wife: doesn't getto know shit either. |
About $60 Canadian. I have $15 Canadian in my wallet, and the rest is in the glovebox.
I've had the same $200 in my wallet for months. I sold pistol on the EE FTF and have had the money just sitting in my wallet since. I never have cash. I always use the debit card. I figure it keeps me honest and not let me spend money I don't have. I will probably spend this money on the electric bill in the next few months because I like to keep the house COLD.
$1,000 in my safe and $50 face in pre 64 silver.
$6,000 in safety deposit box and more silver. |
About $500. I figure that if it ever gets so shitty that I can't get to more of my own through legal means, I go to"plan B".
couple of hundred in the wallet. couple of grand in the safe.
I usually only have 100 or less on my person in cash.
In the safe, I keep a couple grand on hand. |
