My girlfriend and I were running out of options for rentals on a Saturday night. Yes, we're watching video's and staying in. It's getting ridiculously expensive to go out. Seventy-five to a hundred for dinner, ten to fifteen dollar cover charges at clubs that you have to wait in line for, six dollar beers and seven dollar mixed drinks that are watered down. Heck, it's just not worth it sometimes.
Anyhow, we saw there were a couple copies of "3000 miles to Graceland" left and decided to get one. We also got "Heartbreakers" and "The fast and the furious."
After a dinner of Chinese food, we opened a bottle of red wine and settled in to watch "Heartbreakers." It was a cute, heartwarming movie. It got my girlfriend all fuzzy inside and we took a shower together. We got friendly with each other before we watched the next movie.
I opened another bottle of wine and we settled in to watch the "The fast and the furious." A good movie that gets you going. Good action if you're into import cars.
By the time we started to watch "3000 miles to Graceland," we were pretty hammered on wine and alternative influences. I wasn't expecting too much from the movie, but it took off from the opening scene. The gun battle in the casino was pretty good. I actually watched it twice. Really good action that flowed quite well. The final standoff at the end was great. A nice twist with a good ending. I highly recommend this movie for those nights when you don't want to do anything.
Ok, it didn't get the greatest review, but I thought it was a pretty good rental.
