I was wondering if its just me or what. When these two networks (and probably others)are doing their bylines into the current hollywood hit, I've been sickened by their broadcast over and over again of the desecration of the dead American serviceman at the hands of the Somalia mob. While I'm glad the movie ensures we don't forget the incredible sacrifice that was made by these soldiers, I think the broadcast of this real scene to report on a movie's success to be sickening. If it were one of their news collegues, I'm sure it would never be broadcast. I've emailed both networks with my thoughts and now I'm praying for those deceased soldiers families and friends.

I understand the sentiment, but too many idiots don't beleive that's what really happened, like the idiot NYTimes reporter. It's worth it to remind people that the shit in the film REALLY HAPPENED and, if anything, was more brutal(the movie showed only briefly the body of the Shugart being carried out and stripped.

Just stroll over to slashdot.org and check out the thread on this movie to see the type of BS that floats around.

Interesting, when MSNBC ran the special that I saw, they fuzzed out the bodies of the crewmembers.  Kind of a compromised image.
