with a sks its not the manufacture date that matters its the import date for a sks to be pre ban it mustt be imported pre 89 and have certian parts on before the import ban.

I believe that the SKS was only made up until the early '80s, but like cyrax777 says, it must have been in-country before '89 and be in AW configuration to be grandfathered. It is my OPINION that if it did not have, for example, a folding stock on it before '89, it cannot have one now. I believe that all Romanian SKS's are considered pre-bans, but the others are questionable. Ask CAMPYBOB on the AK side. [url]ak.ar15.com[/url] |
